Uups, I did it again

Britney Spears? Nah. Whose line is it anyway? Could be, but nah. Plain ol’ me. I did it, again. Went and bought shoes. Colored my hair.

On friday evening, or probably it was barely saturday already, when we were leaving the wedding, I told my mom how I wanted to have this and that kind of shoes – even tho I have a lot of shoes already. She probably hadn’t read my blog too carefully, for she commented that I’d had too much to drink. Hah! Like I need to drink to want shoes! I mean, when it comes to shoes and clothes I’m hopeless. I could buy a new pair (or two or three) of shoes like every day. New clothes like every day. Each time I go anywhere near shoes or clothes, I either fall for them or, if my husband’s lucky, I hold my resolve by repeating the "I don’t need anything" mantra over and over again. When do I need rehab?

Anyway, today I went to Jumbo’s Prisma on my way home, simply in search of the new hair color, toothbrushes, some food, big black plastic sacks for the moving and maybe card board boxes if lucky enough. And went straight to the clothes dept, repeating "I don’t need anything, I really don’t need anything". Took a look at nice pants. "I don’t need them, I don’t need anything." Took a turn towards the hair colors and toothbrushes, but somehow ended up fitting the sandals. Such nice sandals! Perfectly fitting sandals! Perfect for replacing the old revenging-blond-strap-sandals that I really don’t like ’cause they don’t fit nice. And so I bought the sandals. Just take a look at them!

Classy, don’t you think?

I did get the hair color too, tho. And the toothbrushes. And the plastic bags and even big card board boxes – for once I was in a store on the day they were unpacking lots of stuff and card board boxes were everywhere! So I took as many as I could.

And then went off to the grocery dept. I was totally lost! The kids still aren’t home, what do we really need? What do we want to eat? What DO we eat, normally? I took a carton of milk, two mini ciabattas, sliced chorizo, sliced parma ham, brie, gouda, some mad croc, a bag of cashew nuts and dried fruit, some apples and nectarines, an avocado… Like, so weird stuff (for us anyway). Nothing like my normal shopping cart. I was simply clueless. Or maybe just taking advantage of the situation 😀 When the kids are away, I don’t need to rational in the grocery store 😀

The thing is, that when the mice are away, the cats dance on the tables. (Okay, so maybe that’s not an idiom in english, but it is in finnish, or rather the other-way-round version is 😉 ). The thing is, that when the kids are away, this house looks even more terrible than normally. Nobody bothers to wash the dishes or fold the laundry away or nothing. All that awaits next week… Now I need to work and pack. Yup, was going to just pack, but as it turns out, I’ve still got work to do today. So I’ll start packing tomorrow.

Um, so, I came home with my shoppings – most of it sort of necessities anyway, in a weird kind of way if nothing else – and re-colored my hair again. I did mention a month ago or so, how Schwartzkopf Live colors make my scalp burn? So I tried this new product I found, Schwartzkopf too, but branded Brilliance. The red seemed great on the box and it actually delivered good too!

It was a much nicer compound in itself, my scalp feels perfectly healthy and the color is fabulous too. A bit darker than I anticipated, but that’s pretty much the story with most colors since my own hair color is so dark and I don’t bother to de-color my hair first. Way too much work 😛 Just like every now and then I toy with the idea of shiny black stripes in my hair, but then I always conclude that I’m really not up to maintaining them… So I just stick to changing the shade of red every once in a while.

Ok, time to get some work done, finally. Eh, right after I take some photos of our messy home for the new occupants (moving from a-far) – I’d so totally forgotten that promised deed too… Blah.
